Tops with leggings!

Ok so I'm a bit fat (18 bottom & 20 top) and normally live in jeans.. Trying to change my eating habits but the change is making my IBS go crazy and the jeans are killing my stomach which is really sore. So..

Q1: Am I too big to wear leggings and bum covering tops/jumpers etc?

Q2: Do people still wear that?

Q3: Can any of you recommend some nice. Sweatshirts/jumpers etc or places to buy them that will go with leggings?

All I ever wear are jeans, sweatshirts and trainers so I'm a bit lost but the jeans are making me cry!!

I know this isn't S&B but that place is too much for me 🤣

I wear Sinophant high waist leggings which I buy from Amazon. They are quite thick, super soft & there's lots of colours to choose from.
I've recently lost nearly 4st and carried a lot of weight around my middle (almost gone🤗) But they look nice with a coordinating tunic or a longer top just enough to cover bum & tum and they're super comfortable. You can accessorise with any kind of footwear according to the season as well.
You can be both stylish & comfortable with a bit of planning. Just get ideas from magazines/Google.

Wow well done on the weight loss that's amazing! I also have 4st to lose and it seems so huge.

I've just ordered some of those leggings so thank you.

Definitely not too big to wear that, in my opinion! I think good leggings look good on everyone, when the top is long enough. People round my way wear this kind of thing all the time. Personally I live in leggings and long tops/jumpers. I wear plain leggings with patterned tops, and patterned leggings (my favourite) with plainer tops. Can't help much with where to find them, because I get just about all the tops from charity shops, where there seem to be plenty of long ones/tunics or jumpers. Leggings I usually buy new, and will buy from anywhere as long as they're natural fibres, cotton, bamboo, viscose etc. Supermarkets can even often have quite good quality ones.

Good luck with your weight loss. I just took it slow & steady, weighed once a week and my trusty leggings were my best friend throughout.
In fact they still are, they're so comfy & versatile to wear. It's been really exciting to see the weight coming off and being able to build a new wardrobe. Most of which has come from vintage sites. When I was bigger I started building up my accessories like shoes, bags, scarves, jewellery because they weren't affected by my size. Then I moved on to coats & jackets & now that I'm close to target I can get into dresses.

People still wear this. My mum is a bit smaller than you (14/16 I think) and often wears slightly interesting leggings (eg. Grey with a checked pattern) with long jumpers and boots and always looks really nice.
