Can you go NC with your mother when you still want to see your Dad?

I really don't like my mother, in fact the sheer thought of her makes me feel ill.

However, my Father is one of my best friends.

My DS7 loves his only Grandma & Grandpa. My Dad is unwell and will die long before my mother.

I've done NC for 6 moths, but Xmas is looming. How do I suck this up?

Any advice appreciated.

So you’ve had no contact with your dad for 6 months or you have?

I wouldn’t want my child around someone who I despise so much that the thought of them makes me feel Ill

You'll have to suck it up for the sake of your father.
You should be able to behave respectfully in front of your child even if your mother is not a nice person.

Sorry, that wasn't very clear. Yes, I talk to my Dad by email/phone frequently. In fact I let DS7 'call Grandpa on the phone" so they can chat.
