3 days to myself

Husband and kids are going away, I'm not cos of dog (and I really really don't mind!). I'm not working. I have from Sunday lunchtime until Wednesday night with no plans at all. Very much looking forward to it.

Apart from walking the dog I don't want to do a lot. I'm currently eating healthily and losing weight so want to stick to that.

What would you do if you had 3 days to yourself?

Spa or pamper day?
Lovely long walks with the dog
Cooking and eating exactly what you want
Long lie in's and lazy days!

Yes that sounds good!
I could see friends but weirdly I don't even want to do that! Just want to do very little!

First day , long lay in ( dog depending ) then just take it easy.
Second day , take dog for walk , then have a breakfast in cafe with a paper to read ( The walk with the dog cancels the calories ! ) Have a pamper evening .
Last day another lay in , have a tidy up in the house , catch up on tv / Netflix series , make a big casserole , you have yours in peace in front of tv , glass of wine , dinner ready for when they get home. Enjoy.

Then do very little. I would, and have. I would suggest getting out of town for one day. Forest, beach or garden or something. Just to be in the moment and away from normal.

Thank you, they are home late so won't need tea.

I've just had this myself, it was lovely! I walked the dogs, watched some TV, re-read some old favourite books in front of the fire, ate whatever and whenever I felt like, took long hot baths and got into bed with my electric blanket nice & early. Enjoy!

I always end up doing diy in these situations. Not that much fun at the time but very satisfying afterwards.

I'd go shopping, go for a nice walk or maybe a massage. In the evening, just relax and watch some TV with a glass of wine. Jeez, I haven't had this in a long time.

Sleep and just being without having to answer to anyone - well I guess the dog, but still. In practice I think I'd struggle to sleep and fret because it would be so odd without them.

cheeseisthebest · 26/10/2023 09:06

Oh I won't fret!

Lucky you - I'm sure I'm not normal Grin
