Is there a migrainey stomach bug about?

Hi, I'm asking because my son has been feeling sick on and off for 3 days, with migraine and I've felt similar. Like random nausea, no vomiting, horrible headache.
No one at the school had it before half term, one friend has reported their child is similar.
Just wondering if it's something we ate otherwise, it's dragging on.

My son had the headache, didn’t mention feeling sick although he said he wasn’t hungry.

Hope he hasn't got this and feels better soon.

You've reminded me though that we both were off our food for a few days before the migraine and nausea. I think I'll see if I can dig out a covid test, though no cough or anything.

My DM has had exactly these same symptoms and has been off work for a couple of days with it but is feeling much better now.

Yes! This has gone round my office. Headaches and feeling sick. Lasted about 7-10 days too.

Flyawayhomeee and Tailfeather

Thanks, I couldn't understand why it was lasting so long, and the nausea is pretty random, like we were eating at a relatives earlier, just fine, but then later I get severe migraine for half an hour, then later still it just disappeared. Now it's back.

If it is something going about then at least we can hope it will be gone soon.

Yes I had it - Covid.

my son was the same - headaches and nausea

PickAChew · 25/10/2023 22:30

That's how it felt when I started with covid, a couple of months ago.

Tailfeather · 25/10/2023 22:31

We all tested (as one of the girls in the office was having an operation and she wouldn't be able to have it if she tested positive) and none of us tested positive. But covid or not, it wasn't very nice! I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone.

You'd think I'd know where that box of 5 tests are, but expect I'll find them when I feel better lol.

Tailfeather, understand it might not be covid and thanks for the sympathy, it is horrible, if only because it's so persistent. Ah well, I'm about 7 days in.
