10+ Year Age Gap

I'm interested to hear what it's like parenting or having siblings with a 10+ year age gap!

DS is 10 currently so it'd be more like an 11-12 year gap. Sometimes I think if I don't have any more children then life will be so easy and straight forward but I think I'll regret it when I'm older if I never have any more children too.

DS really likes looking after our friends younger children so I think he'd love to have a brother or sister around!

So, what are the pros and cons of a 10+ age gap?

My sibling is over ten years younger than me.

In a way we got the best of both worlds. Both almost only children, in that we didn’t bicker, fight over toys etc. There was nothing to fight over!

But we also didn’t have the closeness that (some) siblings have, simply because we were too separate. Of course we did love each other, and still do, but it wasn’t a typical sibling relationship.

There's 12 years between my first two and then 4 years between second and third. The bigger gap was definitely easier.
