Bite on leg

I’m away on holiday in the uk and I’ve woken up to this! It’s hot to touch and when I walk it hurts where the bite is. Should I try and find a pharmacy or can it wait until Friday when I get home?

That’s infected and you won’t get anything from a pharmacist. I had to go to the doctors to get antibiotic cream

speak to a local pharmacist and see if they can help re a local gp , in my practice we see the nurse, or walk in clinic

I wouldn’t be waiting until Friday

I'm not sure it's infected. Mine are always much worse than that but are never infected, I just react badly!
Have you taken any antihistamine? And/or put antihistamine or hydrocortisone cream on?

Agree with @Tinkerbyebye I had a bite that ended up like that last year, had antibiotics for a week, it took months to heal completely, needed cream for it as well. Sooner the better to get it looked at.

I suffer this way with bites if I get bitten on my legs, anywhere else it’s fine. If it’s hot to the touch it’s infected she needs antibiotic cream

Any pharmacy. Often in supermarkets etc too. But chemist would be able to give advice too.

Mine are always hot to the touch and I've never had antibiotics. They go down with antihistamines.

AnnaMagnani · 25/10/2023 09:27

It's very unlikely that is infected, it looks like a normal wheal and flare reaction.

If you get some anti histamines it will improve quicker.
