What phone for a 11yo

DS turns 11 in a few weeks and we are getting him his own phone in prep for high school where he'll be walking and bussing.

Was going to fix screen of my old iPhone 12 but they're recalled/ banned in Europe for radiation?? Even though not banned in UK- can't give him that now!

So what phones do your younger kids have?

DH thinks a Samsung but I can't work them as an Apple person!

It's much easier if they have the type of phone you're used to using - so Apple if you're an Apple user - makes it much easier to show them how to do things and if you choose to, to monitor their use.

My DS is 12 now but got an iPhone 11 for Christmas last year.
