Hate benefits departments

I was in the queue to chat to to the benefits people for 2 hours. I kept checking at minute intervals if I’m connected or not.
I checked two minutes later and it’s asking me to start a chat again. They don’t wait do they. Fucking hell.

Well you weren't ready, with a queue of 2 hours it sounds like they have plenty of people to help instead of hanging on waiting for you....

@KateyCuckoo that's just rude. If they keep you waiting that long they should expect people to move away and do other things while waiting. There should be a way for them to put you back on hold at the top of the queue and go back to you rather than making you start from the beginning again.

I don't work for them? Not sure if you somehow think I have power to implement that. Sure it sounds like a good idea but they don't so tou have to pay attention. I'm sure if it were Taylor Swift tickets people would keep their focus. It's a simple fact that they have other people to move on to.

I appreciate its frustrating, I spent 1.20hr waiting on hold for British gas a little while ago. I can't imagine putting the phone on the side and going off to do other things.

What would be helpful is a numerical countdown of your queue position.

Which benefit department was it? I've never waited longer than 1hr 15 mins.
