Haven't seen in laws for a while- what to take them?

MIL is very high maintenance and has expensive taste. Chanel perfume would go down well but it's bloody expensive! FIL doesn't drink and happy with anything really.

She always comes here with a massive bag of "goodies" which tbh is full of tat or things she's clearly regifting. I feel like I should go over with a massive bag of shite goodies.

Any ideas

Bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine. Is it her birthday?

getmeout12 · 23/10/2023 21:43

Absolutely not her birthday! I just feel as though I should take stuff because she does the same for us. She is addicted to shopping and buying heaps and heaps of rubbish

Is taking relatives gifts a thing? Why do you have to give them things?

She is addicted to shopping and buying heaps and heaps of rubbish

She doesn't need anything else then, does she ?

Depending on what you are going for - a coffee ? dinner ? a weekend? Then take a cake or a bottle of wind and some after dinner mints or something like a box of biscuits.

Some nice flowers should be fine, especially if you have chosen them carefully with her preferences and colour schemes in mind.
