Vinted - Favourited items notification. Grrrr

Can I turn this off?

Have listed some items as I desperately need some quick cash, never used vinted before.

I keep getting emails and notifications that someone has 'favourited' an item.

I don't care?! It doesn't seem to mean anything so why keep telling me?

I keep thinking I've sold something :(

It's providing intel to help you sell. So if you have a lot of favouriting but no purchases it might be worth offering a lower price to someone, or lowering the price in general.

It’s helpful because if you have a lot of favourites but it isn’t selling, the price is too high. If you drop the price, those people who have favourited will get a notification of the price drop and possibly purchase it. It also useful as that’s the item you will bump if you choose to bump items, or you can also edit that post to put a photo in saying you do bundles and to check out the rest of your wardrobe.

As PP said it's an opportunity to send someone you know is interested an offer or that you can dispatch today/ tomorrow etc.

As a seller I do that a lot and as a buyer it definitely prompts me to buy when I may not have done previously.

Also, and this might just be me, if a seller makes me an offer first I'm slightly less likely to make a counter offer, I tend to accept theirs.

Yes, you can choose which notifications you get from the app.

Go to Profile bottom right of the screen. There are sections for Push Notifications (pop ups to your phone) and Email Notifications. Open that and you’ll get a list of all the different things you can toggle on and off. Switch off ‘favourited items’. Or you can switch them all off, but then you won’t be notified of offers or sales, so do that at your own risk.

you can also set a limit so if someone faves twenty items from your listings, you only get two notifications.
