Park poo

Feeling cocky and walked/scooted 20mins to a park with (between us) 5 kids age 4-6, dog and no bag of supplies (idiots).

No toilets and one child needs a poo.

What do you do?

I said child should poo on discreet bit of grass and we’d pick up with a dog poo bag and bin.

Friend wanted me to watch all kids and dog while she ran home, got car and travel potty and drove back to park.

Speaking to my mum this evening she said she would have knocked on at a local house and asked to use the loo.

Child soiled himself before we could act so options were moot really, but WWYD? Besides not forgetting the bag of stuff next time.

Don't leave the house without going to the toilet?

If a child is going from 0 to soiling themselves in 20 mins then see a doctor

Poor kid, did he or she have an upset tummy? Behind a bush would have been my response tbh. Going for potties would seem crazy, if your pal was going for a potty she may as well have just taken the kid home to the loo and what 4 to 6 year old uses a potty anyway.

No way would I be letting a complete stranger in my house for a shit, no matter what age they are!

Discreet poo behind a tree and then use a dog bag to pick it up and dispose of it.

Carry an empty carrier bag folded up small so it can be toilets in and then the handles tied up and the whole thing out in a waste bin.

A child age 4-6 doesn’t need a potty. Hold them, or teach them to squat in as quiet a corner as you can find. Poo bag. Ask a stranger for wipes or use grass/leaves and put in poo bag. Presumably you weren’t out with a dog without poo bags? If you were I’d have asked another dog walker/family.

What bag of stuff deals with a kid needing a poo? And agreed with pp if a child that age cant hold it then see a doctor.

I would have take the child home to the bathroom. If you had time to go home, get the car, get a travel toilet and let them crap in that (which at the age of 4 sounds disgusting) said child could have been taken home. Crapping at the park is also pretty foul.

The 4yo was still 3 until a couple of weeks ago!

None of mine would have been able to wait 20 minutes for a poo at just turned 4. Nor have the foresight to anticipate before leaving the house that they might need one in half an hour’s time

Glad you agree that my mum is mad to suggest knocking on for a poo.

This has happened to me and I did the dog poo bag double bagged then put in bin.
We were quite far from civilisation
I also enjoy hiking and mountain climbing and have had to use this method myself! You can't just leave human poo on the ground so... and sometimes when u gotta go you gotta go!

I mean, many adults have had to pee in a bush when caught short. This is not different. I have had to pee in a bush because there were no public loos.

We used to bring a folding travel potty everywhere until DD was 5, we go to lots of parks without toilets. She's never been able to do an outdoor wee/poo without one but she's excellent at holding it in (went for months without using toilets at nursery because she didn't like the noise). If I told her to poo behind a bush she'd just say she didn't need to go any more and hold on until we got home.

It would take half the time to get child to the toilet than to go home get a potty and bring it back to the child.

You had a dogshit bag so it would have been fine to let the child poo behind a bush and pick it up as though it was dogshit and bin it.
