Quick fix for hair that keeps turning out at ends

Would a curling tongs work? Have zero patience, so honestly can't be carefully blow drying it into shape. Will live with crap hair rather than devote any time to it, so only very quick solutions will work. Also have zero blow drying skill as I never bother with it. Hence wondering if I just used tongs to turn the front bits in, would it work? Don't want to buy a pair and find it doesn't work. Advice from other can't be arsed people required.

I have this. I similary cannot be arsed with straighteners. The only solution is to grow it long (eg below shoulder length) or get a good short haircut. I currently have a jaw length bob and that has fixed it for now.

Grow much longer than that and I look like Lady Miss Keir from Deelite

I can't be arsed with straighteners either. I used to have longer hair and it turned out at the ends, but now I too have a jaw length bob, but with layers in. I find that the layers have helped stop it turning out and now I can just wash it and comb it and it looks ok.

Though thinking about it, I have dead straight hair, and it's aleady pretty short, but just turns out easily. Might try layers though. Any idea about curling tongs, not straighteners?
