Flooding, anyone else?

I'm in the east midlands and we've had a lot of flooding overnight. Numerous roads closed and people evacuated from their homes. My friend is on holiday and her home has flooded while she's away.

Outskirts of Nottingham here. There's a lot of flooding, my work flooded on Friday morning, multiple roads in the area which is causing chaos, still raining now, hasn't stopped since Thursday night. We currently have contractors on our roof due to it being damaged by the wind and water coming through. I know areas like Chesterfield, Mansfield, Heanor and Langley-Mill have got really bad flooding

Lincolnshire - lots of flooding.

Curlewwoohoo · 21/10/2023 21:42

North Gloucestershire on the Severn and Avon confluence. The worst of it will take a few days to get down to us. The floodplain here is already full and there's a full moon Wednesday so it could coincide with a high tide up the Severn.

Cambs village - Road flooded but houses ok, this time.

South Aberdeenshire, utter carnage! My roof has blown off and got water leaking into the house

mandydandy · 21/10/2023 23:47

Also south Aberdeenshire. I posted this photo last night. I still can't get my head round it. So much damage, so much heartache. 2 confirmed dead and another man missing. It is absolutely awful.
At one point there was no route north to Aberdeen. Floods and landslides in the way.
Even the shops have been running low on food because they can't get the deliveries.
The photos show the road as it would have been on Wednesday and the second is what it is like now.

That looks awful, I'm so sorry!

The road round the corner from me was flooded yesterday, some cars got stuck trying to drive through but thankfully no injuries. Going to have a walk round today to see if I can help.

Also South Derbyshire

Have a look at the Circus having to be dragged off the Washlands by local farm machinery

@Beezknees years of neglect in infrastructure and building housing on green has destroyed the drainage we ever had

Can I ask what the PT means?

Bracken96 · 23/10/2023 00:33

I’m in North east Derbyshire and there has been utter devastation. Over 400 homes no longer habitable in the district

Bracken96 · 23/10/2023 00:36

sadly lots of new houses flooded too as they have been built on flood ground.
