It’s a big birthday for my dad in a months time. I have no idea what to do!
For context, we have never been ‘close’ in a normal sense, he disappeared travelling for ten years, but the last few years are the closest we’ve been. He’s divorcing at the moment and still living with his ex acrimoniously so we can’t visit. He’s a five hour drive from us so can’t just ‘pop out for dinner’. The thought of him holed up indoors alone just him and the dog for a milestone birthday horrifies me! What do I do?
