M&S Garage - Gluten Free

Do M&S (the petrol station shops) stock gluten free sweet treats? Just found out a new neighbour is gluten free and I have some of the neighbours popping over in an hour.

I'm walking distance to a M&S garage so that's my only option at such short notice.

Some things are gluten free anyway - percy pigs, and some chocolates, for example.

The range of biscuits and cakes is quite limited at the petrol stations though.

It'll depend on the size of it and what it's ranged for. We've two locally and even the small one has a small bay of GF and free from foods - a few cakes, biscuits, crisps etc but it will be a fairly limited selection and lots often out of stock.

You can always call them and ask, save a journey.

As an aside. I have coeliac disease so am gluten free and it really wouldn't bother me in these circumstances if there wasn't anything to offer me if I was just popping over. If dinner's being made then there's plenty that can be made gluten free without any real bother. No need to buy overpriced free from alternatives (that usually taste grim).

Our M&S garage has a "Made without" section.

Their crisps are GF.

The garage didn't have any GF cakes or biscuits. It's not a particularly big shop so I wasn't surprised.

We ordered a take away (this was always the plan) so the snacks were just something to nibble on later.

It all worked out well in the end and I know about the GF requirement for next time.
