Pub lunch Bristol/portishead

I'm meeting a friend for lunch in the Bristol area. I'm coming down the m5 and she's coming from Warminster in Wiltshire.
Can anyone recommend a good place to meet for lunch? Easily accessible with parking.

Depends what you're looking for. Cribbs causeway is just off the M4/5 interchange and has the usual chain restaurants, or there are a ton of lovely places in town. What are you thinking?

Ideally we'd like a gastro pub out of town. Don't really want to go into the centre of Bristol or portishead. A village pub maybe.

Windmill Inn is just outside Portishead. Easy to park, fabulous views, great menu - not been there for a while but used to be a fave. It's not fine dining but it's perfectly nice pub grub.

Thank you. I'll look into that one.

The Priory in Portbury is nice and just a few minutes from the Easton in Gordano services. Have a nice lunch!

Woodford Lodge - Chew Valley

The Pelican near Chew Valley

The Swan Inn Tockington

The Aston near the Portway
