Current covid vaccination - side effects?

Has anyone had this autumn's covid vaccination and did it give you any side effects? I suffered quite a bit in the past with the vaccinations, felt iller with the 1st 2 than I did with covid itself! I can't recall how I was with last year's booster, which maybe is a good sign. Anyway, I have this year's booked tonight and I am a bit concerned the weekend may be a wash out.

I had mine last week along with the flu vaccine, didn’t experience any side effects. Usually I get heavy arms and a headache, but nothing at all. Strange! I hope you skip the side effects too!!

Had mine last week along with the flu, no side effects except a sore arm! Last year I was washed out for 2 weeks

P.s I drank loads of water the day of vaccine and following day as per advice- maybe this helped! 😆

I had horrible side effects for my first few vaccinations - fevers and headaches and exhaustion etc. Had this one a couple of weeks ago and nothing at all - just a slightly sore arm I get from every other vaccination. I had the flu one the week before and it was exactly the same

onlyoneoftheregimentinstep · 20/10/2023 09:14

Had mine yesterday. Only issue today is a stiff arm.

Beebumble2 · 20/10/2023 09:14

Also had mine last week with the flu vaccination, both in the same arm. Absolutely no side affects apart from a sore arm.

Seeline · 20/10/2023 09:15

My mum has had really bad side effects from each one so far - like ill in bed for several days. This one she felt fluey the first night, fever, shivers etc and nauseous for a couple of days, but not actually vomitting so a definite improvement.

Watchthedoormat · 20/10/2023 09:16

Mild headache the day after my flu and coronavirus jabs earlier this week.
Nothing else

Gumbo · 20/10/2023 09:19

I had mine 2 days ago and had zero side effects, not even the usual sore arm, which surprised me! I know they've tweaked this vaccine, so perhaps that's why?

Davros · 20/10/2023 09:20

I had mine yesterday with flu vaccine as well. I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw this thread!

Passepartoute · 20/10/2023 09:21

I had both the flu and covid vaccinations a couple of weeks ago. The only side effects were mildly sore arms for a couple of days.

AvengedQuince · 20/10/2023 09:24

We've had people at work off for three plus days with it (and still not feeling great on return). Aches and flu like symptoms similar to covid.

AvengedQuince · 20/10/2023 09:28

Checked messages from my colleague, feeling cold all the time, muscle pain, headache, stomach cramps. They came back to work with muscle pain. This was Moderna.

Birchvalley · 20/10/2023 09:29

I got palpitations when I had covid jab recently- I’ve had chemo this year though which probably skews my symptoms!

Wherethewildthymeblows · 20/10/2023 09:44

Oh thanks. This is (mostly) positive. I will live in hope.

I was told to drink plenty of water before and after the jab and to take paracetamol before and afterwards if needed. I’ve done that for the last two jabs and the side effects have been just a sore arm.

Dinobooklover · 20/10/2023 10:13

Had absolutely none this time round, not even a sore arm.

amusedbush · 20/10/2023 10:32

I had mine last month with my flu vaccine and had zero side effects. I didn't even have the usual stiff arm.

My first two covid vaccines were Pfizer and I had no side effects. The third was Moderna and I felt so, so unwell afterward - to the point I turned down my booster last winter because they could only offer Moderna. Thankfully this year it was back to Pfizer.

Lindy2 · 20/10/2023 10:40

I've felt really rough for 24 hours after all of mine. Sweats, chills, headache etc and then ok after a day.

I had the latest jab last weekend and although I still felt rough for 24 hours it wasn't as rough as I'd felt in the past. Everything was just a bit slow motion and achy. After 24 hours back to normal.

Toddlerteaplease · 20/10/2023 11:01

None. Had mine on Tuesday.

Had mine on Monday, sore arm for a few days but it is almost back to normal now. No other effects.
