America denying humanitarian aid Gaza

During the UN meeting, US (only country to) denied humanitarian aid to Gaza because the proposal put forward didn't blame Hamas enough.

In what world is this to deny any human being who is not at fault, humanitarian aid? Both sides have victims and fortunately the israeli victims are being aided. How can US deny aid to the other side so boldly? How is this okay and no one is flinching? This world is so messed up, and America = Puppeteer

I think it's unlikely to get to those that really need it and they can help in other ways like talking with Egpyt about opening the boarder.

I also think other countries shouldn't be to blame for not giving more when Gaza has already been given a huge amount of aid which wasn't used to improve the quality of life for the people living there rather to help Hamas.

No one wants anything from US, itd the fact they voted no

But why vote yes, when it's not going to help those that need it and may help Hamas?

Because America is in full support of Israel

Israel thinks by breaking the Palestinian people making them suffer even more they will turn against Hamas

this strategy has been used time and time again by western governments and it never works and it won’t work this time

and there is an election next year so they is going to be lots of them and us the western world against the non western world

I expected better from this administration

It's fairly straightforward. You just need to follow the money. Private arms companies are given trillions every year by the US treasury without any proper audit trail. These same companies sponsor approximately 800 lobbyists, and fund political candidates. America is bankrupting itself simply because ideologically many are neurotic about American foreign interests and American security coupled with their desire to hold power and the fact that they as individuals economically benefit from sucking up to lockhead et al.

America does not want peace, or food, or equality, or democracy.

It gives billions in "military aid" that is recycled back into buying military contracts for hardware and advice from private companies. The military industrial complex is killing us all and bankrupting America.

I would add also that this is plunging ordinary American people into abject poverty. And there is no safety net. Unfortunately now the American state stands on the precipice looking down a huge black hole, and due to the absolute genius of the liberal ideology of capitalism not many ordinary people even know who to point their millions of guns at. They maintain their right to bear arms and are increasingly angry and disenfranchised but due to the state propaganda of 'West v the rest' they fail to recognise their real enemy. What is interesting is that most states are just starting to worry about the 'enemy within' hence increasingly we see a shift towards fascism.

So no, the UN won't be effective going forward, and so far the US have vetoed almost everything that would benefit Palestinians since 1975. And that is unlikely to change. Little wonder 'the terrorist' sees America as the 'great Satan' its almost inevitable. Because there can be no ordinary response within the democratic mainstream political sphere to challenge these corrupt relationships between corporate interests and mainstream politics.
