Last night the heavy rain caused the communal flat stair wells and some flats to flood. Management company was called and after several emails and calls from residents we finally had someone come out. Electric cupboard then flooded fire alarms went off fireman evacuated us and we were told to book a hotel by management and they would reimburse us. They then had all these builders and electricians come out who turned power back on and said it was safe to go back. Tonight the rain has been extremely heavier we called every single number we have and emailed but have had no response from anyone. all the residents have been on using there buckets and bins and emptying them in rotation since 11 flats have flooded too. We can’t afford to leave and book a hotel as the nearest one with a rooms is 5 star and expensive we don’t no if we will get it back tonight. We have no where to go either. I’m worried the same is going to happen tomorrow night but worse. Are flat is ok water was getting closer to the door but it’s being swept away constantly and we’ve built a dam with cardboard.
