I have a small pile of academic books to return to a library at the other end of the country (SE to NW England). Wouldn't be valuable for anyone else to steal, but it will be expensive for me if they don't arrive safely! Previously I would just have taken them to the post office, but Royal Mail seem pathetic now. Can anyone suggest a better way to send them?
