Last minute Matilda tickets

I want to book some tickets for Matilda on 18th November, but just waiting for two weeks before in case of train strikes. I've been watching the availability go down and down, so much so I don't think it's looking likely that we will get the 230pm show - I'm just wondering, does this change/do they get cancellations closer to the time or can tickets be resold? If not, can we take a 6yr old to the later show?

We took DC to evening showings from age 4 onwards.

Of course you can take a child to the evening performance. I personally prefer the matinées, even now my children are older!

Have you tried entering the lottery? That's how I eventually got top price tickets for only £25 each.

I just had a look and it's only got a handful of dates, do more open up as the time goes on? Do you commit to the tickets or just put your name in, wait to hear and buy the tickets if they are any good? I've not seen this before, we've only been to a couple of shows!

If you're talking about the Matilda lottery, you enter it to get tickets for the week after (choosing the dates and times you are free) and then if you win you can book them when you get the email. It's not more than a week ahead.

To be fair, it took me months of entering almost every week until I won. However, you may just be lucky!

I don’t know about cancellations etc., but I took DS to an evening show when he was 6 and it was fine. He loved it.
