Period pants

Please talk to me about how period pants work

I got some in the M&S sale a few months ago and have finally had a period today, have put them on but have questions

When do you know to change them?

How do you wash them?

I change mine when they seem to need it, varies on flow. I rinse them through afterwards and stick in a normal wash.

Daughter has them. A fresh pair of a morning and evening. Rinse them out and I usually soak them til there’s a few pairs to wash together, don’t use softener, don’t tumble dry.
