I’m eating way too many chocolate caramel digestives so need a distraction pronto! It’s halfterm for some of you - hope you’re surviving thus far!
Quite a busy day today. Hospital appointment this morning & I should be having my hernia removed in about 3 months. Telephone appointment for something else when I got home. Bought some really nice wine at Waitrose on the way back. I felt a bit guilty for taking a magazine when I don’t have a Waitrose card but it annoys me that you’re supposed to pay! A lot of supermarkets provide free magazines & very good they are too eg Asda, Tesco & Co op. Trip to my own chemist this aft to collect 2 prescriptions, which was quick, then a trip to Boots which took ages! It always does in that branch. They’re permanently closing soon otherwise I would suggest one queue for prescriptions & one for purchasing stuff. I only wanted some over the counter tablets & ended up waiting about 20 minutes.
Chilled out for a bit back home then played the piano, which always makes me feel good. We are DD free this week & enjoying the peace & lack of drama! Easy tea of pasta, pesto, peas & grated cheese. Probably watch Greys Anatomy later.

There’s a double glazing salesman round and I’m hiding upstairs with the dog, scared of the quote.

I'm home from work and drinking wine. Children are upstairs on screens. Husband is ironing children's Scouts shirts ready for this evening.

We got back from a couple of days at DH's sister's earlier (half term here) and I'm knackered.
The washing machine is on, ds2 has gone to rugby training with Dh, ds1 is upstairs, hopefully studying, and I've been drinking tea, eating chocolate digestives and attempting to make a photo calendar for part of my mum's Christmas present.

Back from middle child's parents' evening. He and his younger brother are upstairs reading. The eldest is at the kitchen table with his maths' tutor and I am catching up on some uni work (learning about strokes). DH has returned from work and has sloped off for a bath, think he has the head cold I have just managed to shift. Wet and 'orrible outside.

DS1 is on lates for the first time since staring his apprenticeship its very odd him not being here on an evening.

DS2 has just got back from swim training and is eating all my food.

DH should be home from work soon so we can eat our tea.

Ddog is grumpy because the tumble drier is on and he has an intense dislike of the noise it makes.

Himself and I are watching a documentary about Russian involvement in 14 deaths in the UK. Kids have been sent to bed for being annoying little bleeders. Today is another day!

DD20 is around for dinner and we're cuddled up on the sofa watching law and order whilst I very slow eat some very soft pasta(recovering from dental surgery yesterday)DH is upstairs playing a game with DD16 on her Xbox and our 2 Dogs are clambering all over me, they haven't left my side since I came home from surgery yesterday.

The storm has arrived. Local roads are closed. DH and I have been deep cleaning our bedroom. I have 'de-labelled' old school uniform so it can head to the charity shop. I'm glad I did as I was thinking I needed to reorder but now have plenty of labels to sew on! DH cooked a fab venison dinner. DC have chicken pox so are not up to doing much other than watching a DVD.

There’s just me and dh in the house at the moment (dd1&2 are at the cinema and dd3 is at dance). Dh is lying on the sofa watching something on Netflix, I’m eating mentos and mumsnetting.

I've just got home from work (social services, love my job but god it's hard at the moment) knackered but managed to make a decent dinner for once, lots of roasted winter veg with chunky sausages that the kids all ate!!! - teen son in his pit (room) on his iPad, teen daughter chatted to me about her day, smaller son and daughter are eating their pudding and watching some YouTube twat screeching on the TV. Husband is next to me scrolling through his phone and in a minute we'll both get up and wrap up to take a very unwilling dog for a walk in the wind and rain. Then home, fire on and cuddle up for an hour before doing it all over again tomorrow. But it is Friday tomorrow 😊
