I've just started a degree in SALT and I'm a bit stuck on an assignment. We have been given a description of an observation of a child who has difficulties with speech (but no cause/reason given) and we've been asked to map it onto the ICF framework. I'm just wondering in clinical practice how would this be done if there is limited information? Do you make lots of inferences, like presuming how the observed behaviour will impact other aspects of his life? Do you then use the ICF to decide on the treatment?
I will go to my lecturer next week but was just wondering if anyone on here is able to advise me this evening. Thank you
