Hi, google is not been helpful with this questions. I’m due to land at Newcastle airport at 1.20 in the morning and bbc weather is predicting 53 mph winds. Last time I landed at Newcastle winds were 41 mph and the pilot said if the winds were faster they wouldn’t have been able to open the cabin doors. Does anyone know if we will still be able to land at Newcastle and get off the plane? TIA

If the flight has taken off (bearing in mind they'll be monitoring weather conditions) and you can't land, then they'll divert the flight.

One thing that might happen is they'll try and land, but if they can't get plane down they'll quickly ascent and go around for another landing. I was on a very windy landing once and pilot struggled to get plane down, but apparently planes that couldn't get down were going around for another attempted landing.

All depends on the wind direction and gusts etc. they might divert you to Manchester or somewhere less affected/ plenty flights land in those winds
