The fact that most LAs sold their remaining housing stock to private companies?

The fact that Thatcher brought in the buy your council house scheme

The fact that building houses is not profitable for councils and nor do they have any money to build property

The fact that there are so many people now in the U.K. and that as with health, education, policing - the government needed to increase these services to meet demand but never has

We are crumbling because our infrastructure is absolutely broken and mismanaged. There’s rage about refugees being denied the right to
come here yet we can’t even manage our own citizens and meet their needs.

Think my adult dd's know this already and so do many others.

Yes my adult dcs know this too, they are the ones paying stupid money to rent as thatcher sold the council houses i grew up in
