Antibiotics.. upset tummy?

How long does it last? DD 9 has started antibiotics today for a throat infection, she’s never had antibiotics before. One dose down and she’s got a bad belly.

As long as she’s on the medication I’m afraid, unless it’s a coincidence and she’s got a bug too.
I had terrible stomach pains from some antibiotics once, and had to ask the GP for different ones.

It'll likely persist a good week after finishing them I'm afraid. Antibiotics wipe out ALL bacteria, not just the bad ones, including bacteria in the gut which gives you a bad stomach. Different ones don't make a blind bit of difference at least not to me.

Give her some yakult or kefir maybe?
