What are you doing?

I'm awaiting a surprise from DP who's away at sea. Should be here before 12 then I'll nap before my night shift,

I've already walked the dog, been to Tesco, done 2 loads of laundry, ironed my scrubs, and done 30 mins on the treadmill.

Come tell me about your day

I'm on crutches due to a broken foot. I've watched lots of trash telly this morning, done some very mediocre stretching, and a morning's work from home. Now I'm sitting in the park at the end of my street as it's the nearest place the sun reaches at this time of year and sitting on a bench just to "get out". Very bored.

Sitting at my laptop, attempting to get enough of my PhD thesis done to avoid the guilt of paying out for a childminder (I might be failing on that front.) Have walked dogs this morning, and stopped for a cappuccino (we live in Italy!), done two lots of laundry and will pick up the baby in an hour. Then a walk to the park, and something autumnal for tea!

Hung out washing.
Nap.
Brought washing in, folded and put it all away.
Cooked dinner.
Watered garden.
Walked dog.
Popped to chemist.
Cleaned up kitchen.
Put robot vacuum on.

Had a lie in this morning (7am but I guess that's considered a lie in when you have a 3 year old 🤣)

Took ds to softplay and enjoyed a nice coffee

Came home and had homemade soup for lunch

Catching up on mumsnet housework while DS is clonked out on the sofa

When he wakes we'll make some cheese scones and do some playtime

then dinner bath and bed

I love these threads.

After taking my youngest to school, I spent the morning trying to make a photo book as a gift for MIL. It is taking much longer than I expected!

My eldest came home at lunchtime as he had a half day at school today. He's commandeered my laptop to do some homework so I'll have to finish the photobook later.

After lunch, I did some singing practice and now I'm having a cup of tea and reading MN. I'll tackle the laundry next.

Very quiet day. House to myself for the first time in a while (dc at school and uni). I’ve done some housework, walked dog and prepped dinner.

Spent too much time planning renovation of French home we are buying.

Now I need to finish some course homework before class tomorrow. And get off mnBrewSmile
