Rash on baby's face - pic

Hi everyone - my almost ten-week old has had a rash on her cheeks on and off ever since she was born. She's absolutely fine in every other way (well, apart from reflux and a tongue tie) and I wasn't sure if just a rash warrants a trip to the doctor given that it might just be from being pressed up to my sweaty boob so much!

Is this likely just to be a prickly-heat kind of thing or should I make an appointment?

Whenever I've had a similar niggle I've found local midwife/health visitor clinics to be very handy - do you have anything like that nearby? They're always v. happy to give baby a once over and point you to other services if needed. Otherwise I don't think you'd be wasting anyone's time in making a GP appointment. Some rashes can be linked to intolerances, for instance, which could tie in with the reflux.

Could be eczema. Try a cream like epaderm (recommended by GP for my LOs eczema when he was 6 weeks old) and see if that helps. Otherwise GP. Could be nothing, but usually better to check.

Why didn't I think of the MW/HV clinic?! Thanks @fungibletoken - that's a good idea!

My first DD has eczema, @RainbowUtensils, so you could be right Sad

Might be dairy intolerance. Look up CMPA rash.

Don't want to give any advice as when it comes to babies, HV or GP is best. However, my daughter had a very similar rash for first 8 weeks and it was baby acne.
