8 year old birthday. What day / time?

Okay. I have no clue what time to do my (almost) 8-year-old’s birthday party. We’re new, so he’s inviting the whole class. That doesn’t seem to be super unusual, he’s been to one whole-class party this academic year already.

What would be your ideal day? Saturday or Sunday?

And what’s the ideal time? 11-1? 3-5? Or something else?

Gets them out the house
but doesn’t eat in to lunch plans

second choice 3-5 so as not to clash with weekend clubs

2-4pm ensures they've had lunch and will go home for tea. You'll need to provide some food but not a banquet. Saturday is best, spend Sunday relaxing before work on Monday. Afternoon gives you the morning to prepare food/ games etc.

Oh gosh different answers so far! Thank you - keep em coming! Really no idea when to do it. We have weekend clubs, suspect most might also? So 3-5 (or 2-4) parties would mean no clashes for us, but would interrupt other weekend plans. Though we’d definitely attend a party over a club.

Urgh so tricky to get it right.

Just had my 8 year olds party. We did 2-3.30 but was a smaller event at a restaurant
