Bit of a happy rant but I’m just so delighted I wanted to put it somewhere!
I had my wisdom teeth out last Wednesday and I was absolutely horrified by the idea of sedation. I faced that fear - which I never thought I’d ever do, got through the surgery, and then had a miserable few days of pain, frustration and (honestly) hanger 😂 I developed an irrational hatred of all soft foods because all I wanted was pasta or a burger, not soup and mash 🙈
I was in bits and constantly taking pain killers (spaced out evenly during the day, and on the timeline given to me, not all at once obvs). I couldn’t properly brush my other teeth, my face was swollen and bruised. It was awful.
It’s now 5 days post OP and what a difference! I was able to properly brush my teeth today. I was able to have a bowl of pasta for lunch. I was able to have a half glass of Coke (rare for me but I was mad for something nice). I was able to stop taking painkillers. I was able to just be normal again. I finished my antibiotics and the stitches have removed themselves. Everything is a healthy pink, there’s no bleeding or signs of problems.
I’m still being careful with everything but I’m so happy to be out the other side that I could burst.
