Reduced movements?

I have a question about reduced movements but it might be silly but I'm not sure.

I noticed about an hour ago I haven't felt baby move the past few hours when this is normally her most active time (after 6pm till bed).

The past few days before this I've felt her move so much more but think it's probably as she's bigger now as opposed to actually moving more. I've now eaten some chocolate and lying on my left side to try see if that makes her move and it has - I've counted about 10 movements with some strong kicks/rolling.

So does that mean it's okay then? If I've felt her move closer to her normal amount after doing those things? Or are you still meant to call the hospital as she had a quiet period/reduced movement period for a few hours anyway despite moving a bit more normally now?

Ring the hospital as she hasn't moved to her normal pattern.

Hi, always phone your hospital’s maternity triage if you’re concerned at all with your baby’s movements. Any change from normal pattern please phone them, they’ll advise you on whether you need to attend.

Okay, thank you. I will give them a call

Hi @luckychillies, just checking in. Are things any better today?

Bloomingmagnolia · 15/10/2023 14:06

Definitely get it checked out. Is her growth tracking?

luckychillies · 15/10/2023 19:56

@octoberfarm hello, thanks for checking in. Yes all was okay thankfully and she's been moving and wriggling away as normal today

So glad things are all okay. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

@Bloomingmagnolia my fundal measurements have suddenly shot up and put me at the 90th centile so I have a growth scan in a couple of weeks to check but everything so far has all been on track
