No one on Mumsnet has said Am I being Unreasonable yet!

If you like the British dry humour I thought Back to Life was very good. One of those things I didn't mean to watch but couldn't stop (like Detectorists for me).

I came here to say "Am I being unreasonable"! It's really good, genuinely felt fresh and original, not quite like anything I'd seen before. It's funny, keeps you guessing and the main characters are brilliant portrayals of mums who are fully formed and flawed characters.

I also really love Flowers. It has the British dark humour element, and is about a quirky dysfunctional family. Slightly surreal. And Olivia Coleman is in it.

More light-hearted, but I saw Finch recently on Netflix, and really enjoyed it, similar to motherland in being a light watch with dry humour. It follows a dry and non-social middle aged lawyer who relocates after a divorce and winds up in a small inheritance claims legal office.

The letdown is good for similar mum angst as motherland but of mums to babies. I liked it and found it really relatable when I had a newborn but I must admit that it's now unwatchable to me. Not because it's bad, it's just too real and takes me right back to all the worst parts of having a small baby, I tried watching it recently and actually started uncontrollably sobbing mid episode! But maybe you are more emotionally stable and less scarred by the newborn stage than I am...
