I’m at that age, if you’re not one day you will be, where I really want some good quality socks. Not thick fluffy ones or wool ones, but decent cotton ones that don’t cost too much and aren’t thin like the ones I pick up from Primark or Asda. Affordable quality is what I’m after.

I have some Yuedge ones from Amazon, as do adult sons. Very hard wearing and wash well. But on the tight side, so order bigger size if calves not so slim.

Thanks Cynderella. I have had a look and they look great to go with my walking boots and I will probably buy some (such good value). I would also like something more everyday to go with other types of shoes

Not cotton, but I love bamboo socks. I live in the ones by Thought. They’re about £6 a pair

Thanks Lavenderosa, I should have thought of them myself, M and S have always done basics well.

I have looked at those socks Brown Table Mat, they look good, but is bamboo cold?

No, I find it warmer than cotton, and to last longer. But I’m sure it’s just personal preference

Because I'm supremely childish, the last socks I bought myself were John Lewis kid's ones with unicorns on: https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-kids-unicorn-stars-socks-pack-of-7-multi/p6417785#accordion-description

Blush Grin

They're really soft and comfortable and wash well with no bobbling.
