What colour is this eye?

I think my dd has hazel eyes, but in the sunlight they look sort of greeny grey with a brown core...is that what Hazel is? They aren't very remarkable in normal daily life, lol.

Hazel. DS has eyes the same colour. His eyes can look different depending on the light conditions, I think it's a lovely unusual colour.

They are kind of cool I suppose. Mine are rather dull brown.

Her eyes are beautiful and clear. Mine are like a muddy version with a very dark muddy green outer edge. I only noticed this year. Always thought I had brown eyes. I’m 55 🤦‍♀️

DH's eye colour is in between OP's daughter's and yours. he insists they're brown. If i can just get him to look me in the eyes for a photo...

One of my dc's eyes are like this. Brown centre, grey outer. Everyone else in the whole family has solid colour brown or blue eyes. There is only one person in the wider family who also has hazel eyes.

Does your dd's brown disappear when her pupils are dilated? My dc looks like they have purely grey eyes in some photos.

I’m still saying mine are brown. Forms don’t seem to have an option for ‘mud’ coloured 😄
When my pupils are dilated, you can really only see the brown plus the very dark edge.

OP’s daughter’s eyes look like proper hazel. Gorgeous. She could probably be an eye model (if there’s such a thing!)

Both my parents had hazel eyes. I’ve got blue eyes but if you look closely there is an orange ring close to my iris. I find eye colours fascinating.

No...in normal dreich weather they just look light brown.

My son had beautiful amber eyes when younger. They are lucky.

@MuddyEyes I have the same hazel as yours - muddy green and brown mix. DD has eyes like OP posted. I'm very jealous.
