Where are you supposed to pack an electric toothbrush when traveling by plane? Hand luggage like power banks or is it ok in the hold luggage?

We've done both with no issues. Put it in the tray with the other electricals when going through security if taking it on board

I carry the brush part in hand luggage, and the charger in hold. Mainly so I still have a toothbrush if I get delayed or the likes. I have been asked to turn it on before, but that is the full extent of any issues I have had.

always hand luggage as its usually the last thing i pack

Pack it anywhere you like. I've always used an electric toothbrush and have travelled frequently, using both hand luggage and bags in the hold. To be honest I've never thought about it . The toothbrush just gets bunged into my toiletry bag and then put into whatever bag I'm travelling with.

I’ve never thought about before as I usually just take a manual one on holiday. Was going to just put in the hold but then thought it’s got an internal battery so didn’t want to cause a security issue. Someone got called once because they forgot their power bank in the hold luggage.

I hadn’t thought about the battery. I’ve always put mine in the hold. If it was an issue, I’m sure the airlines would tell us like they do with power banks.
