Currently have it feel awful. Fever coming every 6 hours for 4 days

I've had it twice, first time fever was up and down for 6 days and felt like absolute death the whole time, second time it wasn't as bad, only had an actual fever for four days and just higher than usual temp for another 2-3.

You have my greatest sympathy, flu is bloody horrible. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

About 4 or 5 days.

DH had a fever for nearly 2 weeks once with flu...he got blood tests in case it was something else but it was just flu.

I'd say the fever (as per the thermometer) was about 4 days, chills and spiking temps around a week. I am immune compromised so any virus hits fairly hard, even a cold to be honest would put me completely in bed for a few days at least.

Staying hydrated helps OP, get some rehydration sachets or electrolyte tablets and rest up. Hope you recover swiftly. Gel packs you can keep in the fridge (a few pounds on amazon) are lovely on the back of the neck or forehead too I find, particularly if you've a headache.
