My ex and I co parent our young baby together. He comes over every evening after work to spend time with our baby and helps with bath and bedtime. We plan to share weekends but not until baby is older as I’m breastfeeding and trying to get into a routine.
my ex needs to see a doctor about a few issues but where he lives 40 minutes away he can never get an appointment with his own gp. My gp has appointments every day so I’ve suggested he register with my gp and book an appointment before or after he comes over to see the baby.
Only issue I’m now worried about since suggesting it is that if he needs a prescription or anything like that he’d be shown as living at my address when he doesn’t. He’d need to use my address as he lives too far to be accepted. I’ve checked with my gp and they do allow this.
I’m on SMP and UC at the moment until I complete my training and go back to work full time but I’m concerned it will look like my ex lives with us. We only had a short term relationship which resulted in our baby but we stayed friends and will definitely not be rekindling anything.
Am I worrying about nothing ? I know nhs and uc aren’t connected but I don’t want the risk of being accused of fraud when the reasons are genuine. Can anyone help put my mind at rest or warn me to not let him? Tia
