Currently drive an Astra, but really fancy a new/nearly nee car. Needs to have good sized boot, be as big as current car (or a bit bigger), and have budget of c£25k - but would like to spend less. Have driven a kia sportage recently, and loved it, but think it's a but big (and the one I looked at was over £30k!!).

What would you suggest??

Skoda Karoq or Kamiq. The Karoq’s boot is massive and you can take the back seats out completely if you need a massive space.

An estate. Tend to have bigger boots than SUVs and drive better. A Skoda Superb is comfy, really reliable and has a nice big boot.

Another recommendation for an estate. SUV boots are surprisingly small and strangely shaped.

I often have to parallel park in small spaces - not sure about the length of an estate?

If you're happy with Vauxhall how about a Crossland/Crossland X? (Not sure what the difference is). I think it's a similar size to a Meriva now that all available cars seem to be SUV-type.

In your budget I'd expect they would come with a parking camera

Suzuki vitara, very reliable and good price.

I drive a Skoda superb dsg and it's amazing. I've had it almost 2 years and I'm still so happy every time I get in it. It's automatic, and has all the things I didn't know I needed in a car! It's a 16 plate, and it's very advanced tech wise.

Golf estate
Big boot

I don't have trouble parallel parking it.
Skoda Octavia is very similar but slightly longer and a bit cheaper.

Just an update. Decided against a "big" car - easy parking is more important. Tomorrow I pick up my new Astra! Sooo excited!
