I am in a pub after a fairly serious lunch. Am having a discussion with my husband and the bar staff over which bird this is. What do you think?

Pheasant of some sort. I thought Lady Amherst's at first but the colours aren't right.

Eloradannin2nd · 12/10/2023 16:53

White pheasant

PeskyRooks · 12/10/2023 16:53

Silver pheasant

TomatoSandwiches · 12/10/2023 16:55

A grouse of some kind?

Queucumber · 12/10/2023 16:57

A poor dead one. I never understand why people use their corpses as decoration.

Darklane · 12/10/2023 17:00

Think it’s a Silver Pheasant.

Yes, it's a silver pheasant. They are much lovelier alive. Also check out golden pheasant, kalij pheasant and the spectacular Lady Amhurst's pheasant 🙂

Pheasant

@CruCru said softly, your name is remarkably similar to the purling noise I've heard male ring neck pheasants make as they mooch around looking for food. 🪶
