I charge £25 per hour in general but this varies depending on tasks. I have charged more when the task is more specialist than general admin.

Thank you, that's very helpful. Interesting re VAT as I have had another quote which states that VAT would be payable. That's for a company though, not an individual.

Makes sense that a company may have to charge VAT as they’ll likely be turning over more. I take it you’re not VAT registered? Otherwise you can claim it back

We are VAT registered actually. I know we can reclaim some VAT but not all, however, don't really understand the rules about when this is and isn't possible. Leave all that to my Finance Officer, I'm afraid. Will ask her about it, thanks.
