Had mine delivered yesterday, and when I tried using it there were two issues: 1) the battery icon rapidly drained from two bars to flashing (empty) over the course of about 30 seconds. In addition to this the sensation was EXTREMELY strong on the minimum level on P01. I tried replacing with a new battery (in case the one provided was dud) and the same thing happened.
Spoke to customer services and they wanted to see a video of the screen etc, which was all fine. I sent the video off, and then noticed that they'd asked me to show the battery being inserted. In my haste I inserted the battery the wrong way round, and the machine didn't start up at all. I videoed this and sent to customer services and then posted the machine back.
They've alerted me to my mistake in the second video, and I'm curious if this was what caused the original issues (rapid draining and v powerful zapping), although I'm almost entirely sure I did put the battery in the right way round initially! I can't check as I've already posted it off, so I was wondering if someone could test what happens if they insert the battery the wrong way round: does it turn on and rapidly drain (no need to check the vigorous zapping 😲), or does it just not turn on at all?
