FLEAS!!

So, it appears we have fleas.

We don't own an animal, so I can only assume they're either the leftovers from two years ago when we first moved in, or a workman has tracked them in on their trousers.

I've currently got my third load of washing in the machine, I'm doing a short wash then tumble drying, I've sprayed the skirting with disinfectant in prep before I wipe them all down. We're messy, so I'm going to chuck everything in the garden and then hoover. I have one tin of flea spray leftover which I'll use on the sofas and carpets.

Any further advice?

(It's definitely not bed bugs btw!)

Indorex everywhere and then hoover daily for a week-emptying the hoover out into the bin each time. Wash bedding on 60.

Yes Indorex spray is fantastic stuff.

Indorex is amazing.

We had the same issue moving into this house, we ended up having to flea fog a room, it was hideous.

Another thing really useful is diatomaceous earth.

You put it round the room, under carpets, under sofa etc and it's a huge irritant to them, wreaks their hard skin/shell and causes them to dry out and die. It's non-toxic to humans.

diatomaceous earth

Will Pets at Home have that? I'm going to go and pick up some Indorex later from there and I'll get some too if I can.

Have remembered I also have a steam cleaner so will go over the soft furnishings I can't wash and tumble dry with those.

I'm SO annoyed. Just lucky I guess I am working from home and have a bit of free time.

Another vote for indoorex plus flea bombs are good

AbbeyGailsParty · 12/10/2023 13:37

Flea bombs all the way.

WeirdPookah · 12/10/2023 13:52

I ordered it from Amazon to be honest, I don't know if Pets will have it.
It's good too because it doesn't wear off, just stays there and affects the next cycle of fleas.

Yes this.

I'm considering a flea bomb per room and then the earth.
