Is anyone into healing crystals that wants to chat?

I’m just exploring crystals and have bought a few and a few bracelets.
Anyone else?
Please 🙏 don’t come on to say it’s a load of old tripe or anything similar, I realise this isn’t everyone’s bag!!
I’d love to speak to more experienced crystal users!

Giving you a bump. I like buying crystals just to display at home as they are so pretty. I've never looked at the healing aspect.

Is there much interpretation involved? Which might be subjective.

Not too much interpretation, each crystal has a description of what it’s for. It seems the rough crystals are more ‘raw’ and stronger rather than the pretty smooth shiny ones.

so I’ve bought bracelets for rose quartz - love, relationships and motherhood
I will have to go and have a look for the names and get back but I’ve just had an early pregnancy loss so I looked into the crystals for fertility, getting away negativity and calm and peace.
even if it’s all placebo, we know that is still really powerful so im looking forward to getting them and starting using them.
I also suffer with anxiety at my job which is irrational as I know im good at the job and get a lot of positive feedback so it makes no sense where this is coming from. So I was planning on wearing a few on me (in bra/pocket for example) and see how I go

This is a fascinating subject. I dont know much about it but why not try them if it bolsters you up a bit op. Knowing its in your pocket to help you would actually be a nice thing to have on you. There's so much awful stuff happening in the world, anything that gives us a bit of comfort should be encouraged. Im sorry to hear of your recent loss, i hope the crystals help you to remember to be kind to yourself

Not a collector, but I work for a wholesaler of crystals and know a bit about their uses if anyone wants to ask.

@Wherethewildthymeblows do you know much about cleansing/charging them and also how often to do this?
also read some things about how some put together can counteract one another, if you know anything about that 😁

I only know that a lot of our customers say they cleanse their crystals monthly. Under the full moon? I think? Does that sound right?

I dont know anything about crystals working against each other but I have heard of that too. Sorry, I'm not much of an expert, as I am not a collector, but I have picked up a bit about different crystals for different purposes, eg amethyst for peace, quartz for healing, etc.

I'm interested to learn more so have joined this thread.
I know someone who works in the well being field and she always carries a rose quartz with her in her pocket or bra.

Yep under fullmoon for cleansing, alongsige smoke cleansing them (with sage/incense) or placing them in earth (ie plant plot/garden). Crystals are said to react with a persons energy field, and with that in mind are used to help balance them out in some way. Black stones (tourmaline/obsidian) for protection or to repel/absorb negative energies, and then other colour crystals do different things,

OP i have a crystal book I purchased cheaply on Amazon years back by an author called Judy Hall. It pretty much lists all the crystals and their uses. So it's worth checking that out, or Google will obvs have lots of info or links ✨

Please make sure you do your best to get an ethical supplier. There's a lot of really nasty exploitation in the crystal industry.

I don't want to be negative OP, but I have read about this and have never seen any scientific studies/proof etc - do you know of any?

Could relate this to all kind of religions and spirituality though, it’s all belief and energy isn’t it?
I’m going to try them myself and see how they go for me rather than needing proof.
there are definitely studies for placebo which this could obviously be too, but if it works it works!

No, there's no proof - but as the placebo effect is a real thing, and if the OP is happy with that (and of course, takes ethical sourcing seriously!) then why not enjoy these lovely things?

Crystals don't have a special 'energy' - but what they do have is better, IMO: wonderful internal symmetry which gives rise to their exterior form. They're fabulous examples of nature creating order out of chaos. What's not to like about that?

And if you want more reasons to admire crystals - there's ones you can't buy, tiny ones used to determine the structure of proteins and allow us to better understand biochemistry and design medicines that do work.

I don't believe in crystals but I love them!
