New job - feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Started a new job out of my comfort zone, involves quite a lot of physical work and working with a lot of different people. It’s very varied.

I’ve spent the last few years doing lone work or WFH so this is very different to what I’m used to.

The hours are perfect, there are opportunities with this job and I do feel like it’ll do me some good in the long run so I just need to stick it out but I feel so awkward being the new one and feel as though I stick out like a sore thumb.
Everyone I’ve worked with so far has been lovely and really made an effort, one lady telling me she felt very overwhelmed too but she soon settled in.

I’m a very anxious person anyway but it’s been so long since I’ve had a job working with other people. I think I’m looking for some reassurance really. Everyone around me is so excited and pleased for me and being really positive which isn’t really helping me 😔

A new job is always hard, your brain is working overdrive to get used to everything. You know objectively you'll get used to it and it'll get great soon. Keep at it!
