How accurate is the ‘Flo’ app?

Do you find it predicts ovulation correctly or is it too generic?

If its like ovia, it uses the data you input to make a best judgement. I found it to be fairly accurate, but I have very regular periods. If you had say endo or weren't regular, maybe its less accurate. In saying that, you can still ovulate slightly earlier or later- even with the most regular periods!

I used a reusable saliva OPK, but few people in the UK are aware of them. I never got a result with the urine ones and after 13yrs TTC, saved £££'s with the reusable one!

it's very generic. it just assumes you ovulate at day 14. You can edit the ovulation day but only for a consistent day (eg 10 days before your period etc) so if your cycles are not 100% regular it tends to be very inaccurate. even those that are accurate you need to edit it to your ovulation date and the high fertility days are still a bit off

It just chooses the likely mid-point of your cycle unless you are tracking ovulation and inputting that data month to month. If you are doing that, then the predictions would be more accurate. You'd have more luck using OPKs and/or charting your temps, if you are trying to get pregnant.

I'm not trying to get pregnant, though I do still ovulate, and it's often roughly within a few days, but not close enough that I'd want to rely on it for either getting pregnant or making sure I didn't get pregnant.

I was pregnant on my 2nd month of tracking with Flo, but I do have very regular periods. Maybe total coincidence. Found the app helpful though and great during pregnancy too.
