South east moving advice

We are moving from London to Sussex. We have three criteria:
Within an hour commute to east grinstead as DH will need to go to his office there occasionally.
Near a beach
walking distance to shops, coffee shop etc
rent 3 bed under £1750pcm

does this exist? Thank you!

Battle (East Sussex) sounds like it fits your criteria, it's around 10 mins on the train to St Leonards on Sea for the beach

A21 is a nightmare commute.

You won't get to East Grinstead from Battle in an hour. Seaford is doable - my inlaws live there and I live near EG - takes about 45 minutes. Very long pebble beach, walks up onto Seaford Head and a few nice shops and cafes. No idea about rents though sorry.

I've not done it in years so not thinking practically, very true!

I would look at seaford. Worthing/Shoreham area might also be doable in about an hour but I'm not sure on rental prices!
