Covid this time round - how long???

This is the 5th time I've had it and I'm in bed for five days now.

Weak, spinny, a bit trippy with constantly having to check I'm not imagining hearing things.

Anyone else got it recently and how long does this last?

I had it a month ago and turned a corner after a week i think. I went back to work too early and was next to useless while there - don't make the same mistake!

I tested positive on Friday and I’m already feeling better, still positive though.

It's a week so far here. I've got such a bad cough the thought of going to bed and lying down makes me feel ill. I have been dozing upright in an armchair for the last few nights. Starting to feel a bit better but am also hearing stuff that isn't there, although this might be down to three nights of sleeping upright in an armchair.

That's what I keep doing. Getting up for school run, dog walk, dishwasher, send a work email and wham. I am set right back again.

It’s such a hard one to answer. I’ve had it once before. Was quite sick vomit wise. Kids just positive. This time I’m no voice. Burning. Vomiting. Upset tummy. Cough. But all four kids are worse. Had one in hospital. Two with croup. And one a chest infection. So I haven’t had time to even consider me until a kind nurse said today how do you feel. Then I cried.

it’s just a case of keep going keep going.

so I think we must be about day 14 now children wise. Tomorrow maybe. But they staggered the start date. And I’m not sure re me.

Had it 3 times a d this is the worst
first 4 days in bed sleeping as act nody , temp etc then I felt better for a day then back downhill, the. Slightly better
symptoms started on fhursday and megative test the following weds and thursday but still horrendous cough and day 12 now and throat sore from coughinG at night and tired as no sleep, went into office as cough not so bad in daytime but at work it was awful can only think it musts be air con that irritated ot, still feel wiped out come 9 pm

I tested positive 22 September, still not back to normal. Weird symptoms persist though I am no longer positive ; sharp odd pains that come and go, mild earache, mouth ulcers, inside nostrils something painful, something in the roof of my mouth that doesn't feel right. What is this variant? I've had it three times and this is by far the worst. Wishing everyone better soon.

I have it currently. Mild sore throat Sunday, worse on Monday so tested. Been having shivers, hot flushes, now bunged up and coughing and feeling really I’ll, but the worst bit is the muscle pain and weird sensitive skin. Can’t bear to be touched by anything and getting stabbing muscle pains. Taste has mostly gone too. Fingers crossed it doesn’t carry in much longer …

I got the first symptoms on Monday. Though I had a weird rash last week. Tested positive yesterday (Tuesday). Feeling worse today. Like a bad cold. We were in Budapest last week. Not sure if I caught it there or at airport/plane.

I had a bit of a headache last Thursday, then temperature Friday night, accompanied by very bad headache and lower back pain. Headache's mostly gone now, was still running low level temperature yesterday though, and everything tastes funny. And I feel a bit sick.

Fifth time for me too. I was at 4 weeks last Sunday. I’m still totally exhausted but the cough has eased now. I’ve found I need total rest other than the essentials (kids, work, cooking). No shops, no fun stuff, just bed rest basically. I’m definitely on the mend but any small exertion sets me back again.

Got back from the Canaries last night where I had been ill for the last 10 days. Headache ( thought this was down to the AI cocktails) burning up at night ( thought this was the highs of 36° in the day 29° at night) Constantly thirsty - again put it down to the heat, upset tum although I was barely eating.
Got a test out there which was negative. Pharmacist was lovely, but only advice she could give me was to take paracetamol and turn the air con off at night.
Sore throat started which I thought could have been down to smoking foreign ciggies, and shouting over the music in the eves.
Became breathless and disoriented while travelling home. Literally fell through my front door, did another test which was positive.
Had very bad night with hot and cold flushes, sore throat, headache etc. So, so tired today.
This is the 5th time I've had it, and definitely the worst.

I had it last month - ill for a week, not right for a further 6 weeks, probably- completely fine now, no lingering symptoms

Just to add, 2 odd things.
First is that I don't have a cough, and secondly, I was on holiday with an unvaccinated friend who has all the same symptoms but much milder 😮

10 days of testing positive, 12 days to start functioning, 3 weeks to get back to almost normal.

5th time with Covid and way way worse than previous bouts. Was really unwell.

It's my third time, and the best symptoms wise. I have had a dry but not sore throat for a couple of days at the start, slight coughing and sneezing but no tiredness or feeling ill really! Tested positive on Saturday as DH has it too, but I am going back to work tomorrow

Been two weeks now since first symptoms and still have bad cough which is worse at work with air con, also headache in morning as cough so much at night i don’t sleep and sinus pain on and off, and still so tired. 3rd time and def the worse symptoms, first 4 days ached so much and just stayed in bed sleeping .
