Hi all. Here for 3 nights. Recommendations please. Especially cool local pubs that might have music on too. Thanks

Truro:
Skinner's brewery have a tap room on the industrial estate at Newham by the river; they do food like burgers etc but check opening times.

The Old Ale House often has music, as does the Old Bakery Studios.

For food I'd eat at the Rising Sun (pricey), the Longstore, the Thomas Daniell or Manning's.

Falmouth:
Live music at the Cornish Bank, the Poly, the Princess Pavilions.

Food wise there are loads of options, it's better than Truro because of all the students. My favourite is Wilder Kitchen for thalis; used to go to the Star and Garter which was excellent but no idea if they still do food. Ditto Provedore - might just be a deli now. Bango Kitchen in Penryn does great takeaway fusion food.

Hooked on the Rocks is great for seafood. I think they did actually have live music one day when we walked past, but as it's not summer now, I'm not sure they would. Amazing food though.

Thanks both. We did quite a few pubs. Ate at the Chic Pea in Falmouth which was really nice. And our favourite pub in Truro was the Old ale House and we got to see a comedy night and an acoustic night.

Falmouth
The shed - good food and cocktails
