Amsterdam at 'Twixtmas' ???

Sorry for horrid phrase but does anyone know if rhere is much to do in Amsterdam 27-30 Dec ? Not been before & hoping for some Christmas lights to still be up & Museums open? Or will everything be reduced hours between Xmas & NYear?

Yes - absolutely lovely place to be and plenty going on. However you have to book everything in advance to avoid disappointment (particularly any decent restaurants you want to go to).

It's a mini cruise thing where we only get 6 hrs in Amsterdam : (10-4pm!)
so a tiny taster. I just wanted to know that the big museums would be open between Xmas & NYear & that there might still be plenty of Xmas /winter lights to see. We're having to rearrange our trip from Oct break due to ill health so want to have something to look forward to. It might be even more special then?
